The Clare Valley was settled in the 1950s by Irish, English, Polish and German immigrants. These first settlers planted vines which flourished, with the Clare Valley gaining a reputation for producing the finest wines.

- Deep dark claret
- Smell
- Inviting and welcoming. Blending at its best. Plum, blackberry, boysenberry, blackcurrant. Underlying characters of cedar, boot polish, roasted fennel.
- Taste
- Uncomplicated drinking pleasure. Exuberance of youth. Blueberry, spearmint, raspberry. Refinement of age. Leather, clove, cinnamon. Well rounded integrated tannins. Length and persistence of flavour.
- Time
- A wine created to be enjoyed upon release with a view to short term cellaring.
