2019 Annabelle's Rosé

“August 2015 heralded the arrival of our first grandchild, Annabelle, and the purchase of a new vineyard alongside her home. As a proud grandfather, it was my honour to name the site and wine after her.

I invite you to share in a glass of this delicious 2019 Rosé and to contemplate my predicament... Annabelle now has a younger sister, Alexandra, and cousins, Florence and Hazel!"

Peter Barry, Second Generation Family Winemaker.

Our inaugural Annabelle'sRoséwas first released in 2017, after the birth of Peter Barry's first grandchild in 2015. He named this wine in her honour. This roséis made from 60% Grenache, harvested from our picturesque McKay's vineyard, located in the heart of Watervale. Its blend with 40% Shiraz gives it a lovely and appealing colour in the glass.

The attractive artwork on the bottle is designed and painted by South Australian artist, Claire Ishino. This Red Flowering Gum (botanical name is Corymbia Ficifolioa) was the inspiration for the artwork on the bottle label, as it grows alongside the vineyard.
