Our Clare Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is certainly experiencing a moment in the sun this year, with several of our wines receiving trophies across the national wine shows.
We are delighted to see this wonderful variety shine against fierce competition at the Perth Royal Wine Awards from Margaret River, which has become the unofficial home of Cabernet Sauvignon in recent years.Â
Our Riesling has also performed well, receiving two trophies and a number of gold medals. At Jim Barry, we pride ourselves on the consistency and quality of our Riesling, so it is always rewarding to see it achieve success on the national stage.
Although it is wonderful to be recognised in wine shows, we do not adapt our style in pursuit of gold medals and trophies. Rather, we use the shows to benchmark ourselves against the best in the greater Australian wine industry. It is therefore, extremely gratifying to be recognised, and gives us confidence in our winemaking philosophy.
