Jim Barry Wines has been named Best Exhibitor of Show at the 2020 Langton's Clare Valley Wine Show for the eighth time in ten years.

The 2019 Lodge Hill Riesling was awarded the Best Exhibition Section Dry Riesling Trophy. After experiencing a very dry winter and some of the hottest days on record in January and February, our Rieslings showed resilience. Maintaining irrigation was an important factor to ensure vine health, which resulted in the excellent quality of fruit harvested.
Third generation winemaker, Tom Barry, said "The Langton's Clare Valley Wine Show gives us the opportunity to benchmark our wines against our peers in the region and confirms that our winemaking is on the right track."
"Arguably, the Clare Valley is most famous for its Riesling, so to perform well in this class is fantastic and a real testament to our hard-working winemaking and viticulture teams, whose long hours over vintage allow us to make wines of this calibre," said Tom.
The 2018 Single Vineyard The Farm Cabernet Sauvignon was awarded the Trophy for Best Vintage Section Cabernet Sauvignon. After receiving good rains after flowering, the warm and dry conditions set in, which resulted in a low sugar accumulation and great flavour development. The fruit for this wine is sourced from a vineyard reaching maturity, with 10 year old plantings.
The 2020 Langton's Clare Valley Wine Show had over 411 entries.
