2016 Single Vineyard Eastern Ranges Shiraz

From the Lodge Hill Vineyard, which is a small plot of Shiraz planted in the 1970's. Aged in 2500-liter French oak foudre. This has a stony and savory edge with minerals and almost flinty notes. Dried flowers and red berries, too. The palate has a succulent draw of fresh and elegant red plums that are swathed in licorice and star anise. The tannins take a powder fine texture into the finish. Great wine. Drink now.
