Dark red scarlet, with pungent raspberry & cranberry over rosemary aromatic uplift.Chased in the glass by lush ‘pillows’ of fruit stretching out to finish with juicy ‘jubey’ slightly sweeter concentration, almost Turkish. Delightedly, supported by powdery tannins. A ‘deeper darker’ version - with an extended length of palate - when compared to the ‘1954 Plantings’ Grenache…..this wine sits beautifully balanced at the serious end of middleweight.
